The newest Gadget rumour...

Today someone said that BlueHairedMonkey left and that the reason was that Gadget was costing him money.

Having been around the computer business for a while, I don't buy that answer. He's likely got a server, the cost to register and renew a domain-name is insignificant, and the fact that he built a very nice client for VFK would only offer the opportunity to develop clients for other applications like VFK.

And there are others who would have bought it for even small sums to keep it going..

Naw, my first guess is that he tried to strong-arm VFK and get them to pay for it... And they either refused or offered far less than he'd expected )or something similar), so he's now mad..

In any event, it's not likely going to work, and we're back to VFK Buddy. Go see that thread, I'm going to get it (again - I'd used it early on) and give a report tomorrow...
